Yuriy's Toys, LLC makes the TouchDRO app. This page covers what the app sends off your tablet, when it does so, and what happens to that data afterwards. It is short on purpose. Last updated 2026-09-14.
TouchDRO doesn't send anything off your tablet unless you tap something that tells it to. There is no background sync, no analytics beacon, no crash reporter of our own, and no ad tracking of any kind. The app works completely offline; the online features described below are extras, and each one sits behind an action you take.
We don't collect names, postal addresses, phone numbers or payment details, and the app has no account of its own. Nothing described on this page is sold, traded or shared with anyone.
Two identifiers can accompany an online request. Neither one names you, and nothing on our side links either of them to a person, an email address or an order. Note that under some privacy laws a persistent device identifier still counts as personal data, so we treat them as such: they are kept only for the periods listed below and used only for the purposes stated.
Install ID - a random code the app generates the first time it runs. It is different on every tablet, and it survives reinstalling the app on the same tablet (Android backs it up along with the app's settings). The app also writes it into the files it exports (settings backups, calibration and probe profile files, and CSV exports), so anyone you share one of those files with can see it.
Adapter ID - the identity of the TouchDRO adapter the current machine profile is registered to (its Bluetooth address, or the ID its firmware reports). It is only sent when the profile has one.
When you import a drawing, the tablet converts it on its own whenever it can. Only if the tablet can't convert the file does the app offer to send it to TouchDRO's online converter, and it asks you first, every time, naming the file. If you tap Cancel, nothing is sent.
If you tap Send, the app uploads the drawing file together with your install ID, your adapter ID, the version of the app, and a short code saying why the tablet couldn't convert it (such as "unsupported feature", never any text from the drawing). The server converts it automatically (no person looks at it) and returns the result. The drawing itself is not saved unless you tick the box below; the converted result is deleted within two days. The server keeps one usage log entry per conversion for five years: the two identifiers, the app version, why the file was sent, the file's size and a short fingerprint of it (enough to recognize the same file again, not to rebuild it), its format, format version and units, how many shapes it held, whether the conversion succeeded and any problem codes, and how long it took. The log contains no drawing content, no file names and no layer names.
The dialog has a checkbox, unticked every time: Share this drawing with TouchDRO to help improve the converter built into the app. If you tick it, a copy of that one drawing is kept indefinitely and used only to improve the converter built into the app; it is never shared with anyone else. If you leave the box unticked, no copy is kept.
Converted drawings are cached on your tablet so that the same file isn't sent twice. The tablet keeps only the most recent few dozen results, and Android's own Clear cache empties it at once.
Live Data Streaming sends readout positions to a computer or MQTT broker on your own network that you set up yourself. That data goes wherever you point it; it never passes through us, and we never see it.
Settings › Privacy has one switch: Never send anything to TouchDRO's servers. With it on, the app doesn't send anything to us at all: the online converter stops working, and the app carries on converting drawings on the tablet as before. Live Data Streaming to your own network isn't affected, because it never reaches us in the first place.
Google Play collects crash and performance statistics for every installed app under your own Google settings. That is Android's and Google's doing, not ours: we don't ship a crash reporter, and we don't receive anything from Play beyond the aggregate statistics that every developer gets.
Uploaded drawing: not saved; the converted result is deleted within two days.
Retained copy (only if you ticked the box): indefinitely, until you ask us to delete it.
Conversion usage logs: five years.
Everything else: never leaves your tablet.
You can decline every upload when asked, turn the Privacy switch on, uninstall the app, or ask us to delete your log entries. To find them we need your install ID, which is shown in Settings › About; a request without it can't be matched to anything, and that is intentional.
When this page changes, the new version is posted here and in the app, and the date at the top is the version. Please review it from time to time.
