Legacy TouchDRO DIY Products
This section contains reference documentation for TouchDRO DIY adapter products that are no longer sold. If you built one of these adapters, the technical documentation and build resources are preserved here for reference.
Second-Generation Adapters (Discontinued)
These are the second-generation DIY adapter designs. They use a 32-bit ESP32 processor and support both glass/magnetic and capacitive scales.
- DIY DRO Adapter Kit — Unassembled kit with ESP32, Schmitt trigger input conditioning, and support for both 5V glass/magnetic and 3.3V capacitive scales. Replaced by the TDK-40 Adapter Kit.
- DRO Adapter for Glass and Magnetic Scales V2 — Fully assembled adapter with RS-422/TTL input, limit switch inputs, and multiple pre-configured pinout options. Replaced by the TDA-410/420 Series.
- DIY DRO Adapter for iGaging Scales V2 — Fully assembled adapter for iGaging EZ-View, DigiMag, and Absolute DRO Plus scales via Micro-USB.
- DIY DRO Adapter for Shahe Scales V2 — Fully assembled adapter for Shahe 5403-series scales via Mini-USB.
First-Generation Adapters (Discontinued)
These are the original TouchDRO DIY adapter designs using an MSP430 or early ESP32 processor.
- Wireless DRO Adapter for Glass/Magnetic Scales — Fully assembled adapter for glass and magnetic DRO scales with RS-422/TTL input and press-fit D-Sub connectors.
- Wireless DIY DRO Adapter for iGaging Scales — Fully assembled adapter for iGaging EZ-View, DigiMag, and Absolute DRO Plus scales. Also includes assembly instructions for the optional 3D-printed enclosure kit.
- Wireless DIY DRO Adapter for Shahe Scales — Fully assembled adapter for Shahe 5403-series scales.
DIY Kits (Discontinued)
These unassembled kits used an MSP430 microcontroller and HC-05 Bluetooth module. They are no longer available due to HC-05 module shortages.
- DIY DRO Adapter Kit for iGaging and Shahe Scales — MSP430-based unassembled kit for capacitive scales.
- DIY DRO Adapter Kit for Glass Scales — MSP430-based unassembled kit for glass and magnetic scales.
